What is Gashapon ?

Gashapon (Gachapon) is a Japanese trading figure that usually packed inside a capsule. Japanese people name this kind of toys gashapon because of the sound they hear when they operated the gashapon station.

When the lever was turn it make a gacha gacha sound and when the capsule was dropped it make a pon sound, so they called it Gachapon or Gashapon. The Gashapon name is taken as Bandai capsule toys brands but people still called it gashapon even though it has a different brand name.
